Imelda Keohane is the owner and founder of Dunworley Governance Limited, a company incorporated in the Cayman Islands to provide boutique and bespoke governance and company secretarial services to clients which enable boards and organisations to make better decisions with clarity, confidence and integrity.

From 2012 to 2021 Imelda worked with the Maples Group in the Cayman Islands. Imelda was the Group Company Secretary for the Maples Group from 2019 to 2021 where she assisted with establishing the governance function across the Group’s 18 jurisdictions. Prior to this role, Imelda was a Vice President on the Company Secretarial/Board Support team for seven years and had the opportunity to work with large investment managers in the US, UK, Europe and Asia. The team provided company secretarial and board support services to a wide range of companies and limited partnerships including hedge funds, private equity funds and structured finance vehicles incorporated in the Cayman Islands. Imelda began her career as a Chartered Secretary / Governance Professional with Matheson in Dublin from 2008 – 2012.

Imelda qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 2012 and attained Fellowship status with the Corporate Governance Institute of UK and Ireland in 2018. Imelda graduated from the University of Ulster with a Masters in Management and Corporate Governance in 2012 and from the South East Technological University with a BA(Honors) Law and Business in 2006.
